Getting started
What is ChoiceIdentity?
ChoiceIdentity is a US-based identity protection and credit monitoring service. We watch your identity and credit 24/7 and give you the ability to pull a full 3-bureau credit report on demand, all from one clean dashboard.
How do I sign up?
Signup takes about 60 seconds: enter your email, verify it, and complete your profile. Your Identity Confidence Score begins generating the moment you verify.
Do I need to be a US resident?
Yes. Our service is currently available to US residents only because of the way credit bureau data is regulated in the United States.
Do I need to be over 18?
Yes, you need to be at least 18 years old to open an account, because the credit bureaus require that for pulling a consumer report.
What information do I need to sign up?
An email address and a password to start. For credit reporting, we also collect your name, address, date of birth, and the last four digits of your SSN when you request a report — required by the bureaus to verify identity.
Pricing and billing
How much does it cost?
$24 per month for the main plan, plus $99 per on-demand 3-bureau credit report. There are no hidden fees and no long-term contract.
When am I charged for a report?
The $99 is charged upfront to your saved card the moment you click "Run Report" in your dashboard. If the report fails to generate for any technical reason, you are automatically refunded.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings in one click. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, per our refund policy. Monthly subscribers can request a refund within 7 days of their first charge, and failed premium reports are always refunded.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and most prepaid cards. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported at checkout.
Do you charge sales tax?
We collect sales tax only where required by state law based on your billing address. The final amount is shown at checkout before you confirm.
Security and privacy
How is my data protected?
Every piece of credit and identity data is encrypted at rest with 256-bit encryption, transmitted over TLS 1.2+, and stored behind row-level access controls. We never store raw credit reports — only encrypted reference tokens.
Who can see my information?
Only you, and only the support staff you explicitly authorize when you open a ticket. All admin access is logged in an audit trail.
Do you share my data with third parties?
We share strictly what is necessary to run the service: billing data with Stripe, credit data with the credit bureaus through our licensed API partner, and email data with our email provider. We never sell your data.
Credit reports
Does running a report affect my credit score?
No. The credit pulls we use are soft inquiries, which do not affect your credit score — no matter how often you run them.
What does the 3-bureau report include?
A full breakdown from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion: accounts, inquiries, public records, and your credit score from each bureau, plus a PDF download.
How fresh is the data?
Credit data is pulled live from the bureaus the moment you click "Run Report" — you are always looking at the most recent data the bureaus have on file.
Can I dispute items on my credit report?
Disputes go directly through each credit bureau under the FCRA. We provide the report and surface any negative items clearly, but the formal dispute process runs through Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion directly.
Can I download the full report?
Yes, every 3-bureau premium report includes a PDF download you can keep for your records.
