  • Payment information: processed by Stripe; we never store full card numbers

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, session duration
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookies section

Information we receive from third parties

  • Credit bureau data from our licensed API partner (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) when you request a credit score or report
  • Identity monitoring signals from partner networks
  • Payment confirmations and subscription status from Stripe

  • To deliver the Service, including identity monitoring and credit reports

4. How We Share Your Information

We only share personal information with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Stripe for payments, Supabase for data storage and authentication, Resend for transactional email, and our licensed credit/identity API partner for credit reports.
  • Legal: when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our members and the public.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected members.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. FCRA Compliance

When you use ChoiceIdentity to access your credit information, you are exercising your right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to obtain your own consumer report. We handle that information in accordance with FCRA requirements and with the same care we expect from any regulated credit reporting service.

6. Security

We protect your information with:

  • 256-bit encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit
  • Row-level access controls on every record in our database
  • Audit logs on every administrative action
  • No raw credit report storage — only encrypted reference tokens
  • Continuous monitoring for suspicious access patterns

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@choiceidentity.com.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your account. We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand how members use the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
